I’ve been trying to get this blog going for quite some time.  It always seems like something gets in the way every time I begin.

This time, I’m skipping all of the frettting over design and such and just digging straight into the meat of the matter and blogging.  I’ll be doing so from Asheville, in  the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, where I live with my wife, Samantha, and my two young sons.

I have quite a few varied and diverse interests to draw upon for inspiration.  Many of them, such as fatherhood, making a living, and trying to be an all-around-righteous guy, are unavoidable.  They just come with the territory.

Some others, like trout fishing, fixing cars, investing in real estate, politics and philosophy are strictly optional.
